Who we are

Our website address is https://megacodestudio.com. MegaCode Studio is a desktop training simulator for cardiac monitoring and resuscitation education, sold as a one-time purchase through this website.

What personal data we collect

We collect personal data in a few specific situations:

• When you start a free trial or make a purchase: your name and email address, so we can deliver your download link and license key.
• When you complete checkout: billing information needed to process payment (handled by our payment processor — see below; we do not store your full card number ourselves).
• When you contact us: whatever information you include in your message (typically your name and email).

We do not require you to create an account to make a purchase.

Payments and orders

Checkout on this site is handled by SureCart, our e-commerce platform. When you make a purchase, SureCart collects your name, email address, and payment details on our behalf and processes the transaction through Stripe, our payment processor. Stripe's own privacy policy is available at stripe.com/privacy.

Your payment details are transmitted directly to Stripe and are not stored on our own servers. We retain a record of your order (product purchased, amount, and email address) for accounting, tax, and customer support purposes — for example, so we can help you if you need your license resent or want a refund.

License delivery

After a purchase, we generate a license key tied to your email address and send it to you. This license key activates offline inside the MegaCode Studio app and does not transmit any data back to us once activated. If you purchase an expansion pack later, we use your email address to issue an updated license covering everything you've bought.

Cookies

This site runs on WordPress, which sets a small number of cookies for site administrators logging in to manage the site (these are not set for ordinary visitors). If you log in to the WordPress admin area, cookies are used to keep you signed in and remember your display preferences, generally for one to fourteen days depending on the cookie.

Our checkout and cart, provided by SureCart, may use cookies to keep track of items in your cart between pages.

We use Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors use this site, which sets its own cookies to recognize your browser across visits. See Third-party services below for more on Clarity.

Third-party services we use

We use the following services to run this site and fulfill orders. Each has its own privacy policy governing how it handles data:

• SureCart — checkout, payment processing, and order management.
• Stripe — payment processing for orders placed through SureCart.
• WordPress / our hosting provider — hosts this website.
• Microsoft Clarity — website behavior analytics (heatmaps and session recordings) that help us understand how visitors use this site. We do not use Google Analytics.
• SureContact — our customer relationship management (CRM) and email tool, used to manage contact records and send order-related or marketing emails.

How long we keep your data

We keep order and license records for as long as needed to support your purchase — including reissuing a lost license, processing a refund, and meeting our own tax and accounting obligations. If you contact us directly, we keep that correspondence for as long as reasonably needed to resolve your question.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. To make a request, contact us using the details below. Some data (such as order records needed for tax purposes) may need to be retained even after a deletion request, where we're legally required to keep it.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect the personal data we handle directly (such as your name and email address). Payment information is handled entirely by our payment processor and is never stored on our own servers.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time — for example, if we add a new tool or service that handles visitor data. We'll update the "last updated" date at the top of this page when we do.
