MegaCode Studio
Run resuscitation training without the $2,000 hardware.
A full cardiac monitor and defibrillator training simulator for ACLS, PALS, trauma, and nursing education. ECG, SpO2, capnography, pacing, cardioversion — build your scenario library once, then run class after class with nothing but your laptop and a presenter clicker.
Mac & PC · One-time purchase · Works fully offline · 30-day free trial
Everything a real code needs
Full monitor, full defib
ECG, pleth, and capnography waveforms with realistic rhythm morphology, plus a working charge/shock/sync/pacer dock with capture simulation.
Real capnography depth
Not just a flat line — normal, obstructive (“shark fin”), curare cleft, cardiogenic oscillations, rebreathing, and esophageal intubation waveforms, for programs that actually teach capnography interpretation.
Build once, run forever
Assemble a sequence of rhythms and vitals into a named scenario, save it, and load it again for every future class — no re-dialing vitals mid-session.
Run it with a clicker
Advance your scenario with an ordinary presenter/slide clicker — walk the room and watch your team instead of hovering over a laptop.
Two screens, one story
A student-facing patient monitor and a separate instructor console, so your team sees exactly what a real code looks like while you stay in control. Pair the monitor screen with an inexpensive touchscreen display and students can charge, shock, and pace it with their own hands — just like a real unit.
Own it outright
One-time purchase, no subscription, works completely offline once activated. Install it and it’s yours — try everything free for 30 days first.
Built for more than just ACLS
If your program teaches deterioration, resuscitation, or emergency recognition, this fits.
ACLS & PALS Instructors
Adult and pediatric megacode training, defibrillation, cardioversion, and pacing — the core use case this was built for.
Hospital Mock Code / RRT Programs
Code Blue drills and rapid response team simulations run on the exact same workflow, whatever your institution calls it.
Nursing Education
Early recognition of deterioration, sepsis, and non-arrest emergencies — not every scenario needs to end in a shock.
EMS & Critical Care Transport
Flight and critical care transport programs get realistic monitor interpretation practice without tying up a real unit.
Respiratory Therapy Programs
A capnography waveform library detailed enough to teach waveform interpretation as its own skill, not just an afterthought.
Interprofessional Education (IPE)
One tool, multiple disciplines in the same room — med, nursing, and pharmacy students running a joint mock code together.

How do I get my license after buying?
You’ll receive an email with your license key shortly after purchase. Paste it into the app’s Instructor Console and click Activate — no internet connection needed to activate, and it never needs to “phone home” again.
Does it work on both Mac and Windows?
Yes — the same license works on either, and you can move it to a new computer if you replace your machine.
Is this only for ACLS?
No. It was originally built for ACLS megacode training, but the underlying tool — a full cardiac monitor and defibrillator simulator — works just as well for PALS, hospital mock code/rapid response drills, EMS and critical care transport training, respiratory therapy capnography education, and general nursing deterioration recognition.
What happens after the 30-day trial?
The core monitor display (rhythm and vitals) keeps working indefinitely. Scenario building/running, quick presets, and the defibrillator/pacer controls lock until you activate a license — nothing is deleted, it just needs a license to keep going.
Is this a real medical device?
No. MegaCode Studio is a training simulator for educational use only and is not intended for clinical use on real patients.
Can I buy expansion packs later?
Yes — buy any pack whenever you’re ready and we’ll send you an updated license that includes everything you own.
Do I need special hardware for students to use?
No special hardware is required — the monitor screen runs on any laptop. But for the most realistic experience, we recommend running the Patient Monitor window on an inexpensive USB/HDMI touchscreen display (often sold as a “portable touchscreen monitor” or “second-screen touchscreen,” typically $150–300) placed where your team can walk up and interact with it — charging, shocking, and pacing with their own hands, just like a real unit. Any monitor works, touchscreen just adds a layer of hands-on realism.
